I love that Steve reached out for a photo shoot. I wasn't shooting much for the blog the past couple years but with much patience from Steve I eventually met up with him and Annie for a really inspiring day of photos. Their interest in art and design made conversation easy. I had a rare moment of bike envy when he pointed out his spoke configuration and morbidly quiet belt drive (resulting in this rare moment of actual gear talk). The last note we left on was that they had to get back home to tend to a pizza crust they were waiting on. // Location: Out and About, Downtown, Vancouver, Canada // d.
I first met her on Instagram as @ceringaud. Her personality and style did all the work on this shoot. Carli is a recent Emily Carr grad and budding local artist. // Location: Granville Island, Vancouver, Canada. // d.

A couple weeks ago I asked my style co-conspirator Melissa if she'd help with the Takaokami Rainwear show at Vancouver Fashion Week. A bit of biking, catching up, beer and wine, and checking out some fashion opened my eyes to the fact that I don't see her nearly enough.
